As Life Goes On...

It was another day at ASDAF after submitting the self apraisal form to my superior. And this time I went straight to the Kitchen Garden. I was not really in the mood, luckily my office time was flexible, so I went to ASDAF as usual to release all the cob web in mind. Looking at the plants, trees, made me feel the peace that I need. I remembered a friend from UIA came for the Ihtifal at ASDAF, gave me chocolate to distribute for the children. So here Jaafar, your chocolate had already been distributed to the children, and they really love it! May Allah bless you.

Trip to Bidor

Today we went to Bidor for a wedding ceremony with my friends from Riders Malaya Community (RMC). About 20 bikes, mostly Yamaha TZM. We gather first at Petronas RNR Rawang at 9am before convoying to Bidor. Most of the bikers went straight to Penang, but I went back to KL to attend another function at ASDAF.

This time, Ayam Masak Sodap!

Yeah, its another nice weekend. This morning I'd sent my car for service at Kah Bintang Service Center. It took about one hour, and then I went back home. Luckily theres no major or minor problem on the car. Since I don't have any plan today, so I decided to cook for lunch, and this time it is 'Ayam Masak Sodap'. Its almost the same as the previous 'Daging Masak Sodap" that I did last month.

Some of my colleague did ask about the recipe. Even my boss doubt that I can cooked! Haha, ok so here is the recepi.

Ayam Masak Sodap

Half Chicken cut into eight
1 big onion, cut into small small pieces
half garlic also cut into small pieces
3 table spoon of oyster source
4 table spoon of tomato source
3 glass of plain water
1 tea spoon of turmeric powder (kunyit)
salt and sugar

The chicken is being mix up with the turmeric powder and a little bit of salt. Then it is fried till it looks a little bit yellowish. Remove it form the frying pan and put the onion and garlic into the frying pan with less cooking oil. Then mix together the oyster source, tomato source and plain water. Stir it a few minutes before putting together the half fried chicken. The walla! Your Ayam Masak sodap is ready to serve!

Seaweed Sheets For Breakfast

Today I had seaweed sheets for breakfast. A Muslim Aid Asia volunteer who just came back form South Korea gave this seaweed as a gift. This seaweed sheets looks like a plastic wrapper, green in color with a taste. It feels like eating a paper with salt and pepper on it. Normally it is being used to wrap up sushi. You may get this at any supermarket nearby!

Paddy Field and Leach Business...

On the way back to KL, we stopped at Gunung Semanggol to visit my relatives. The best part is their house is in the middle of the paddy field. You can see the green paddy field which would likely be ready to harvest. All the houses there are spread out, and only one or two houses are near by.

And in the afternoon, I had the opportunity to visit a leach farm in Taiping. It seems that leach business is quite popular now days. Its a little bit geli when I saw the leach, but I manage to touch it, I even hold it on my hand! Maybe one I can try venture in leach business!Quite attractive!

Pesta Pulau Pinang

Yesterday we went to Pesta Pulau Pinang. This is my first time in 10 years to go to Pesta Pulau Pinang. It looks like a fun fair with many stalls and shops selling clothes, foods and souviniors. The fun fair looks more like at Genting, but I won't prefer to ride any, as I think I'm too old for that. But I tried the bumper car! The price perentry is RM3 for adult and RM1 for children.

Internet Surfing at Sungai Batu, Teluk Kumbar

Right now I'm at Sungai Batu, Teluk Kumbar Penang relaxing while my brother Soleh and cousin Nazaruddin went fishing. I tried the new Celcom wireless, where my another brother Sulaiman got it for free since his employer gave him monthly allowance for broadband purpose. I was impressed to get 3G signal at Sungai Batu, and this allowed me to surf the internet and at the same time enjoying the wind and the sea. The weather is great. Yeah, we know that KL dont have beaches, and need to travel to Port Dickson in order to get to the beach. Luckily my kampung is in Penang!

Far Away From The City

After being quite busy with Qurban For Life promotion, now I had the chance to lay off from work for 1 week! Since my wife will be having her conference in Penang this weekend, so we decided to balik kampung Penang for 1 week. This is the time for me to spend time with my wife and also close friends in Penang. Really miss them all!

Today we went to Batu Feringgi, since my wife just love to go to the beach. My cousin Nazaruddin or known as Anje came along as well with my brother Soleh. Its nice to see the beach is quite clean, with fresh air, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city life in KL.

Muslim Aid Asia: Aid for Bukit Antarabangsa Landslide Victims

.
Yesterday Amir, Hadi (Muslim Aid Asia's volunteer) and me went to send some help for the landslide victim at Sekolah Kebangsaan Hulu Klang. Muslim Aid Asia doesn't have a disaster team yet in Malaysia, so we came to help in term of logistics and to help calm victims that had been traumatised. Muslim Aid Asia had sent mineral waters and bread for people at the school. More volunteers ada needed. And if any are interested, may call Amir at 017-2277 5252.
