PIKOM PC Fair 2009

my wireless router

We was at KLCC as early as 11am for the Pikom PC Fair 2009 and luckily we had a very good parking just near the excelator. This time my wife and I had planned to buy a wireless router, a cooling pad, a tiny 8gb thumb drive, 50 piece cd writer and a 2gb thumb drive of which a friend had ordered. We went through all booth from Hall 3 to Hall 5. Some of the items had different price on the same item and model. So we had to looked carefully, at least to get the best price and offer. First we bought the cooling pad, with a huge fan with blue led, that had cost RM18. We missed a booth, that was selling the same cooling pad at RM17, huhu.

my tiny thumbdrive almost looks similar like this

Then we bought a 50 piece cd writer for RM26 brand immation and got a cd case for free. After that we went to buy the wireless router (D-Link) which cost us Rm103. It was a good bargain, as some other booth offered RM105 and RM110 for the same item and model. I managed to get my tiny 8gb thumbdrive (Kingmax) which cost me RM54. This 8gb thumbdrive is waterproof, and I can just attach it with my PDA casing and bring it anywhere easily. The 2GB thumbdrive (apacer) cost only RM19, the cheapest 2bg thumbdrive available there. Every item was a good bargain, at least after looking around for the best price and offer!

p/s rumah sekarang dah ada internet wireless. tak perlu kongsi lagi dengan wife, hehe...

Preparation for a Newborn

My future baby is already six month, me and my wife had bought some baby stuff such as clothes, diapers and many more. The clothes are not that much, just a few baby jumper, shirts and socks. Most of them cost below RM10. A friend had advised not to buy too many clothes for a newborn, since the baby will grow rapidly from month to month. My wife also bought 2 packs of diapers. She was so eager to go to Jusco AU2 for the J Card sale yesterday. Others are milk bottle, baby wash and soft towels.

For the next month budget, we'll be going to get the baby stroller (do we need that?), the buaian (not sure what they call it) and the baby car seat. These will cost much! So an advice to all daddy wannabe, remember to prepare your budget monthly for those baby stuff. It would be better to plan about 4 or 5 month before the due date.
Let me share my planning
Due date: mid July 2009
Monthly saving for the baby: nearly RM1k
March 09: bought clothes
April 09: bought diapers and toiletries
May 09: gonna buy baby seat car
June 09: gonna buy breast pump, buaian, stroller and others
July 09: standby, baby is coming!

As Life Goes On...

Last Saturday was full with activities. Early in the morning I went jogging at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa for the first time this year. Actually me and my friend didn't jog, but just walking around the lake garden. At least we can reduce much calories, huhu. Then at 10 in the morning I had a meeting at ASDAF to discuss about the students academics. At noon, I went back home to fetch my wife and went straight to Malacca to attend a wedding ceremony. After the wedding ceremony, we went to my wife's kampung to perform jamak prayers, Zohor and Asar. On the way back from Malacca, I went to a petrol station to fuel up, and saw this kid carrying a basket and selling kuih! I was thinking, "uih, ada lagi anak yang gigih macam ini ya..." So I snap a few photos using my pda. I bought a few kuih from the kid and gave him RM2 as a tip. The kid was a bit confused, but I said, go and get some cold drink. He was happy, and I felt good.

this child came from Lendu to Masjid Tanah to sell kuih

It was already 5pm, and we started our journey back to KL. We arrived at KL at 6.30pm, I rested till Magrib, had bath and perform Magrib prayers before going to old KLRC at Wangsa Maju to play badminton. Thanks for the badminton invitation Hadi, an old mate back in UIA. We played till 9pm and went straight back home. I had shower and change new cloth before going back out to Sentul Boulavard to discuss matters on Riders Malaya Community. About 20 of us were there, and it was our weekly gathering. Near midnight, some of my friends decided to ride up to Genting, but I was too tired, so I went back home. What a weekend!
