Eidiladha 2010

Its been a while I've been blogging in this blog. Just after the Eidiladha, then I got this opportunity to update some of my activities during the eid. Since I had just 1 off day, I decided to celebrate the eid with the orphans from ASDAF. I went to Rumah Titian Kaseh (RTK) as well since its just behind my house, well its about 1 km from my house.

I bought a knife, just incase if they need me to help cut the meat at ASDAF. There were so many people at ASDAF and when I was there, they had already slaughtered six cows! It was so quick and we all help each other to cut the meat out and put it into the plastic bag, 1 kg perbag before distributing it out. The ASDAF kitchen made soup from the qurban meat and it was really delicouse! We had as well the gearbox soup and everyone enjoyed it.

landslide on the way to the village

On the second Eid, I went to Kampung Pontos, an indegenous village in Raub, Pahang with a few ASDAF children and the management. We started our journey at 4.30am and arrived at the place at 8am. We slaughtered 22 cows and distributed it to the people at the village.

On the way to the village, there was a landslide but luckily we manage to cross over the road. We had to go back early to avoid from raining. We were worried if its gonna rain, the land slide would become worst and it will be impossible to go back to KL.

ASDAF and Foreign Students

It was already 11pm, and we were preparing for a trip to the Kampung Orang Asli in Raub Pahang. Mubarak (from India) and Jaafar (from Nigeria) had a very warm welcome by the children of ASDAF. The children took the opportunity to talk with Jaafar and Mubarak in English. Even though they had difficulties to express everything in English, they really tried hard to speak English. Several times they came to me to translate words from Bahasa to English. It was fun, the the kids even thought Jaafar and Mubarak to speak Bahasa:)

Next time whenever there is an event at ASDAF, surely I'll invite Jaafar and Mubarak to join as well...
