I Felt Like Arsene Wenger!

After almost a month being the coach and team manager for ASDAF A and B, finally all the effort become fruitful as ASDAF A had won the charity futsal tournament held at Futsal Frenzy, S15 Shah Alam. About 36 teams form 15 orphanage with various background and race were involved in the tournament. We trained almost everyday. The ASDAF players even got sponsors from Muslim Aid Malaysia Foundation for their futsal shoes, socks and jersey. Thanks to all donors who were really generous for sponsoring the futsal shoes.

group stage

banana for energy!

The tournament started in group match where ASDAF A was in Group A while ASDAF B was in group G. ASDAF B didn't manage to go through the second round. ASDAF A got the number two spot in group A behind leaders Kifayah B, and got to the second round. I was shouting from the bench, not because I was angry, but to motivate them. The fans were great, especially from Rumah Darul Kifayah and Rumah Anak Yatim Siti Khadijah (organizer).

we are the champions!

with the trophy

ASDAF A won the tournament after reaching the final by beating favourites Kifayah C in 3-2 in penalties. ASDAF A got RM1000 richer with a trophy, a medal each and a hamper. Next year ASDAF A will come again to defend their title. Hopefully by that time, I'm still the one who will manage them
