ASDAF Kids with Sushi and Wasabi

It was another day at ASDAF. And this time the kids wanted to try sushi and wasabi. It started that night, when I was teaching them in tuition class, one of the kids ate buah pinang just like that. I'm not sure what do they called buah pinang in English. It was weird to me, but they ate it just like an apple. I dont know how it taste, so thats where I got the idea about sushi and wasabi. I asked them whether they had tried wasabi or not. They said they have no idea what is wasabi. So I bought them sushi and wasabi today (thanks to Amir for sponsoring the sushi and wasabi).

nyum-nyum

I want more...

Everyone was so excited. Each sushi is for two person, so that everyone can taste it. And there it goes, each kid tried the sushi with the wasabi and I can see that funny look on their face. Everyone tried it and even asked for more! Enjoy the clip!

ASDAF Futsal Team!

It was futsal training day at ASDAF. I was chosen as the manager to manage the ASDAF futsal team. There will be a futsal competition at Shah Alam, which may include about 10 more orphanage to compete in the competition. It reminds me of the Engineering Futball League back in UIA when I was playing as a fullback!

In the Mid of Ramadhan

too tired of playing computer games and watching Upin dan Ipin

Upin dan Ipin cartoon

Yesterday the I had the opportunity to bring a few ASDAF children to an Iftar ceremony organized by GPMS. After the Iftar ceremony, I took them back home, and they were very excited. They played computer games and watch Upin dan Ipin through youtube all night long. Today I'll be sending them back to ASDAF:)

A Relaxed Weekend

It was my first weekend in a few month that I had free time without any appointments or programs. So I decided to go to ASDAF to spent my time with the kids there. I bought a chess set, but only 3 students know how to play chess. But most of them knew how to play checkers or we called it dam in Bahasa. What we did was we had a checkers competition. 16 of them joined the competition and the only winner will get the price which were a few packets of twiggies! Even me myself played, but I lost at the semifinal. Yeah, they were really good!

ASDAF and Foreign Students

It was already 11pm, and we were preparing for a trip to the Kampung Orang Asli in Raub Pahang. Mubarak (from India) and Jaafar (from Nigeria) had a very warm welcome by the children of ASDAF. The children took the opportunity to talk with Jaafar and Mubarak in English. Even though they had difficulties to express everything in English, they really tried hard to speak English. Several times they came to me to translate words from Bahasa to English. It was fun, the the kids even thought Jaafar and Mubarak to speak Bahasa:)

Next time whenever there is an event at ASDAF, surely I'll invite Jaafar and Mubarak to join as well...

Another evening at ASDAF

Played the Farhana - Amuk song

It was another evening at ASDAF. Most of the children were fasting, so after watering the plants at the kitchen garden, we decided to get some rest in the hostel.

The children of ASDAF really love musics, even some of them are really good in playing guitar. It reminds me of a good friend of mine, Nuruddin or known as Din Bashah. He's also good in plucking the guitar. Lets share his skills:)

Gardening Every Evening at ASDAF

with the kids

everyone enjoyed!

Almost every evening I'm at Asrama Darul Falah (ASDAF). The Kitchen Garden Project are now at the monitoring stage since the vegetables are slowly growing. Every morning and evening, children of ASDAF will water all the plants. The most enjoyable part is after watering the plants, the children will get some goodies!

Mr Muk from Riders Malaya sponsored the ice cream!

up the trees!

The fresh air, we can see the children running with joy, and some of them may be up the trees! Its relaxing, free from stress!:)

Football at ASDAF!

first time playing football after a few month

Last Sunday we went to visit Rohingya's refugees orphanage home in Selayang. My friends from Lagenda College Mantin and a member from Riders Malaya Community (RMC) also join the activity yesterday. Then in the evening we went to ASDAF. The day before, I had bought a ball donated by the Riders Malaya Community members. The kids were so happy to have a new soccer ball. The boys and girls went to play football together!
